Sweatlife Festival, Tobacco Dock 23-24 June
The festival is a 2 day event organised by Lululemon of classes and workshops led by top fitness teachers from across the globe. The speaker programme covers diversity, body positivity, community and work/life balance. Speakers include the founders of Park and Run, Good Gym, The Tempest Two, Melissa Helmsley and Carly Rowena.
Ride London FreeCycle, The Mall 28 July
Britain’s biggest bike festival gets underway with a family friendly event in which 70,000 riders typically take part. Ride through an eight-mile loop and take in some of London’s most iconic sights enjoying entertainment along the way without the worry of cars, lorries or buses. This event is part of a weekend of 5 cycling events.
The Great River Race, River Thames 8 September
Described by many as "London's other Marathon", the Great River Race is London's most colourful and spectacular river event. Each year contestants compete in a 22 mile race between Millwall and Richmond to find the UK Traditional Boat Champions. Up to 300 traditional boats, from wherries to war canoes, and from Cornish gigs to watermen's cutters, take part.
Boxing and WWE at the O2
The O2 Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in the centre of The O2 entertainment complex on the Greenwich Peninsula in south east London. The arena, built under the former Millennium Dome, has the second highest seating capacity of any indoor venue in the United Kingdom, behind the Manchester Arena, but took the crown of the world's busiest music arena from New York City's Madison Square Garden in 2008. The closest underground station to the venue is the North Greenwich station on the Jubilee line.
