Bermondsey Bees 'b2' Afternoon Tea
Available 20 May to 18 August
In celebration of World Bee Day on 20 May, we have planted our terrace with bee friendly plants and are launching a new Afternoon Tea using unique raw honey from our Bermondsey neighbourhood bees. The special Afternoon Tea will be available until National Honey Bee Day of 18 August and will include a complimentary copy of Bermondsey Street Bees bestselling book ‘Planting for Honeybees: The Grower's Guide to Creating a Buzz’ by Sarah Wyndham Lewis.

The Bermondsey Bees B2 Afternoon Tea will feature fresh and local ingredients including honey from the multi-award winning Bermondsey Street Bees. Raw and unprocessed, the honey is carefully spun out by hand, cold-filtered and decanted into jars. Dine on a delicious assortment of honey themed delicacies such as the Honey & Lemon Cheesecake.
Enjoy a cup of fresh Honey & Ginger Tea, or perhaps cool down this summer with a nice sizzling Honey Lemonade Mocktail!

Bermondsey Square Hotel will donate £1 from each afternoon tea booked to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and British Beekeepers Association.

£35.00 for 2 people
(Honey Lemonade Mocktail is additional)

About Bermondsey Street Bees
Surrounded by parks and rooftop gardens, Bermondsey Street provides a surprisingly green environment. In 2007, Dale Gibson installed the very first hives on the roof of a Victorian sugar warehouse overlooking The Shard, launching a journey into what has become a passion for bee welfare and raw honey production and now embraces characterful varieties from all over England. Bermondsey Street Bees actively promotes responsible and sustainable beekeeping as well as working with leading chefs, hotels, businesses, government and local planting charities to sponsor, plant and maintain new pollinator -friendly plantings. Voted ‘Best Honey in London’ at both the 2017 and the 2011 National Honey Shows and named the UK’s ‘Small Artisan Producer of The Year’ at the 2016 Great Taste Awards, Bermondsey Street Bees work hard to sustain and protect the fragile urban and rural ecosystems in which honeybees exist. Find out more.
